Worldwide LDS Church Statistics

It’s late and I’ve gotta go to bed. I’m getting up in 5 hours (at 3:30 am!) to go fishing again with my atheist friend, Jerry, so I’m going to make tonight’s post short and sweet.

Following are the current “Worldwide Statistics” for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued the following report concerning the growth and status of the Church:

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was formally organized in a small log cabin in upstate New York in 1830. It took 117 years — until 1947 — for the Church to grow from the initial six members to one million. (Click Here to learn more).

 Total Church Membership Today: 16,118,169

Total Languages The Book of Mormon is published in: 188

Total Congregations in the Church: 30,506

Total Full-time Missionaries Worldwide:  67,049

Total Full-time Missions Worldwide: 421
